Week 14 NFL Picks

09 Dec

Last week I went 8-7.  I’ve gotten worse each week.  I correctly picked the Broncos on Thursday night and I’m looking to build on that momentum.  Here are my Week 14 NFL Picks:

Redskins (-2.5) vs. Ravens:
It’s a D.C. area showdown. The Redskins just beat the Giants on Monday Night and Baltimore lost a tough game to the Steelers last Sunday. Robert Griffin III is playing at another level right now and Ray Lewis isn’t returning until next week. I got the Skins.
The Pick: Redskins 28 Ravens 21

Browns (-7) vs. Chiefs: The Chiefs had an emotional win over the Panthers last Sunday. I believe that was the definition of an emotional win. Brady Quinn won AFC offensive player of the week. That’s not going to happen again. I got the Browns.
The Pick: Browns 21 Chiefs 17

Steelers (-8) vs. Chargers: Ben Roethlisberger is returning for the Steelers and reports out of San Diego are that Norv Turner and GM AJ Smith will be fired at the end of the season. Norv is still in control and Ben is playing at home. I got Pittsburgh.
The Pick: Steelers 27 Chargers 24

Colts (-5.5) vs. Titans: Andrew Luck threw a touchdown at the buzzer last week against Detroit. I expect that momentum to carry over against Tennessee and the Colts to move one step closer to the post-season. Give me Indy.
The Pick: Colts 23 Titans 14

Jets (-3) at Jaguars: Mark Sanchez has been given a second chance by head coach Rex Ryan. At least for one week, the Jets are getting another win over a beat up Jaguars team.
The Pick: Jets 17 Jaguars 7

Bears (-3) at Vikings: It looks like Brian Urlacher will miss the rest of the regular season which could mean Adrain Peterson has another big day. I still like Jay Cutler to rebound after Russell Wilson led an epic drive to beat the Bears last week.
The Pick: Bears 31 Vikings 28

Falcons (-3.5) at Panthers: The Panthers lost to the Chiefs last game. The Falcons are much better than the Chiefs. I like Matt Ryan and the Falcons after a long week of rest to get the win.
The Pick: Falcons 20 Panthers 13

Buccaneers (-7.5) vs. Eagles: Nick Foles easily had his best game as a pro last week against Dallas. I actually like the Eagles to finally put an end to their 8-game losing streak.
The Pick: Eagles 34 Buccaneers 31

Bills (-3) vs. Rams: The Rams are on a little roll. They beat the 49ers last week and I like them to beat the Bills this week. The Bills beat up on a bad Jaguars team a week ago and the Rams are playing very well at the moment.
The Pick: Rams 27 Bills 17

Bengals (-3.5) vs. Cowboys: This is my pick’em game of the week. No one has any idea how Dallas will play. They can look great, or look horrible. I think they will play great more than they will play terrible and get the win in Cincy.
The Pick: Cowboys 31 Bengals 23

49ers (-11) vs. Dolphins: Jim Harbaugh is sticking with Colin Kaepernick after his two turnover essentially cost the 49ers the game. I think Kaepernick struggles again and San Francisco loses their 2nd straight game in a shocker.
The Pick: Dolphins: 17 49ers 14

Giants (-5) vs. Saints: The Giants doubters are once again back in full force. The Giants will be fine and beat the Saints who haven’t been as sharp of late. I love the Giants
The Pick: Giants 35 Saints 28

Seahawks (-10) vs. Arizona: This is my lock of the week. Arizona has zero chance in this game. I love Seattle.
The Pick: Seahawks 28 Cardinals 7

Packers (-7) vs. Lions: The Lions had a heart breaking loss to the Colts last week and have been one of the most disappointing teams all season. I like the Packers and Aaron Rodgers at home to get the W.
The Pick: Packers 38 Lions 29

Patriots (-3.5) vs. Texans: It’s the game of the week in the NFL. The Texans are trying to solidify themselves as the best team in the AFC while the Patriots are trying to prove they are still at the top of the class. I like Brady in this spot.
The Pick: Patriots 31 Texans 24
