David Huff’s Ridiculous Play (Video)

21 Aug

David Huff took over for Yankees starter Adam Warren in the 4th inning of tonight’s Yankees Blue Jays game. In the top of the 8th inning however, Toronto catcher Josh Thole laid down a near perfect sacrifice bunt, more than good enough to be a hit. But out of no where, Huff puts his glove to the ball and flicks the ball to first base for the out. Take a look:

Huff’s play capped off an unbelievably clutch outing where he pitched 5 shut-out innings giving up just one hit while recording the win.

This play by Huff could be the play of the year in Major League Baseball, maybe even better than Mark Buerhle’s no looker on opening day a few years back.
