To the surprise of no one, Andrew Wiggins is already talking about not having to go to classes once this season ends at the University of Kansas so he can go to the NBA.
During an ESPN the Magazine interview, Wiggins said about his plans for the next year, “I would say just being able to enjoy my last year of school.”
Wiggins has been labeled the best NBA prospect since LeBron James in 2003, and is more likely than not going to be the first pick in this year’s draft.
There’s a reason why fans of teams like the Philadelphia 76ers have already started #suckforwiggins campaigns. Over the summer, Philly traded arguably the teams best player in Jrue Holliday, in exchange for Nerlens Noel who has been shut down for this season.
It’s no guarantee that Philly, or any other NBA franchise that sucks for Wiggins, will have the chance to draft him because of the lottery.
