After what’s happened with Raymond Felton’s life over the past 24 hours, saying there’s no way Raymond Felton plays against the Heat on Thursday night would be a pretty reasonable statement.
However, despite Felton being charged with criminal possession of a firearm and likely facing jail-time at some point, the expectation is that Felton will play when the Knicks play the Heat at Miami in front of a national audience on TNT Thursday night.
Knicks beat writer for the Bergen Record Steve Popper said it best on “The Lucas and Lucas Show” on Tuesday night.
If I were the Knicks though, I would not want Felton there because it would be a tremendous distraction which in a way might actually be a good thing. The Knicks have been playing so poorly recently that the Felton situation could take away from the teams play on the court.
That’s not how it’s going to happen and Felton will very likely indeed suit up for the Knicks until further notice.
