Cubs’ road to victory anything but easy

You didn’t think it was going to be an easy and smooth process, did you?  The Chicago Cubs, after 108 years of futility, reached the pinnacle of the sports world by beating the Cleveland Indians 8-7 in Game 7 of the World Series, a game that will go down as one of the greatest ever played.

Fitzpatrick should be thankful, not vengeful for second chance

Honestly, what did Ryan Fitzpatrick think was going to happen?  After six games, the Jets were 1-5, losers of four straight, all by double digits and the offense, led by Fitzpatrick, failed to reach the end zone in two of those four games.

Mets’ run halted by unstoppable Bumgarner

Something special appeared to be brewing in Queens this season.  Despite losing Matt Harvey, Jacob DeGrom and Steven Matz for the season at varying points, the Mets kept plugging away, finishing the season on a 27-13 run following Yoenis Cespedes’ return from the disabled list on August 19th to earn the first wild-card spot in the national league.
